PRESS RELEASE:

Riley Vaughn's solo exhibition, titled "KING ME!”, is set to unveil five new artworks that delve into the complexities of our memories and how fleeting moments deeply impact our future. Vaughn explores the unexpected weight of specific objects that stand out like landmarks to help navigate through life. Vaughn finds himself remembering the good, simple memories that encapsulate an entire chapter of his life. The question remains, how do these memories change, re-contextualize, and impact us as we age? How do we use those moments to impact our world?

The exhibition will take place at The Lobby Gallery, located at 725 S. Spring St. in Downtown Los Angeles. The opening reception will be held on February 6th, 2025, from 6 PM to 9 PM. After the opening reception the work can be viewed by appointment until March 1st, 2025.

The target audience for this exhibition spans art lovers, collectors, gallery owners, curators, and fellow artists, all of whom are invited to experience Vaughn's innovative perspective. The exhibition aims to not only introduce Vaughn to a broader audience but also seeks to secure gallery representation and additional exhibition opportunities for the artist. Ultimately, the exhibition serves as a platform for Vaughn to establish a lasting connection with the art community.

“KING ME!” marks a significant moment in Vaughn's artistic journey as it is his first solo exhibition. Vaughn's previous experiences as an artist in residence with All Together Now, and his participation in a number of group exhibitions have laid a solid foundation for this solo endeavor. His past exhibitions, such as "Celebration" and "Beyond Love Stories," have received positive acclaim, showcasing his ability to engage audiences with his distinctive artistic voice. As Vaughn steps into this new chapter with "KING ME!," the anticipation surrounding his work continues to grow.

This event coincides with the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk, a monthly event that showcases numerous artists and galleries, further enhancing the visibility of Vaughn's work within the vibrant Los Angeles art scene.

Riley Vaughn expressed his excitement about the exhibition, stating, "I hope to create an environment where viewers can connect with their own memories and experiences through my work. The interplay of humor and introspection in these pieces reflects my desire to explore the complexities of memories and the role they play in our future, in a playful yet profound manner."
